Discovery Parks - Katherine (previously Shady Lane Tourist Park), is just five minutes from the Post Office on the road to the beautiful Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge).

Located away from the highway noise but close enough to the shopping center for those essential supplies, you can be assured of a quiet, friendly atmosphere in which to relax and unwind after a sometimes long journey. Sit back and relax under our shady trees with a cool drink and watch the world go by, or take a dip in our sparkling swimming pool after enjoying a cruise on the Gorge. For the mildly energetic, a 250m walk to the river could have you bringing a fish home for the evening meal.

Discovery Parks - Katherine is the ideal base from which to explore the many attractions within and around Katherine – Katherine in one day? No Way! Exciting upgrades are underway at Discovery Parks – Katherine. While construction is in progress, we’re working hard to keep any disruption to a minimum. In October, earthworks and new road construction will take place, which may cause some increased impact during this period.
